![]() ![]() Everything from the story to the gimmicks of each level. I have more hours on the original than Sonic Mania I bet. Personally it's up there with the rest of my favorites. Now that the potential criticism is out of the way, I just want to talk about why I loved the original Freedom Planet so much. Many of my favorite games were made with such a philosophy and are in fact pretty successful franchises. I'm sure you guys want to just make the game as fun as possible for us all, and thank you for that. I do mean it when I say I respect the developers. Don't let one voice create more stress or frustration. I don't care if I have to wait five more years, I just want a fun game, and it doesn't have to be perfect.Īnd hey, if the developers or fans don't agree with anything above, you do you. It could satisfy a portion of people and keep their hopes up. It's not that I don't think the developers aren't working hard, but perhaps much like the delay in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, snippets of the game's evolution (free of spoilers and all that) can be shown. Bugs of certain features fixed, maybe small updates no one considered asking and nobody has problems revealing due to the small scale. No, nothing like percent done, but I feel it would be nice to have occasional tidbits of information occasionally. ![]() Though what I am curious about is less about when the game is out and more about the progress of the game. ![]() That isn't to say I'm not curious though. If that isn't the exact case, ignore the previous two sentences. The fans are impatient and the developers are likely impatient with the fans. I respect the developers and their actions. I respect everyone else's opinion, they can have them. I only feel exchanging words helps every party in a situation even if nothing changes. Lastly, we'll be showing off the demo in person at PAX South! Find us in San Antonio, TX on January 27-29.Obligatory disclaimer to prevent misunderstanding and argument:ĭespite any thoughts or criticisms I do not want to attack anyone. FREEDOM PLANET 2 ADVENTURE FREEShe has other special attacks she can use by holding different directions, too!įreedom Planet 2: Sample Version will be available at the end of January as a free download, and include all playable characters. With the Special button, she can shoot an ice lasso to freeze any minor enemy in place and either smash them for an instant KO or use them as platforms to reach high ledges. She can use one of four unique attacks depending on the held direction. Neera prefers raw power over speed with her devastating Frost Arts. Neera Li was a stubborn boss in the original Freedom Planet, but she now joins the playable cast for the sequel as the fourth and final character! The recoil from the burst can be used to build up lots of speed! With so many tricks up her sleeve, she can be the most versatile fighter in the game! With a cube active, she can fire mini-cubes at enemies or unleash the entire cube in a devastating Super Shield Burst. Her Phantom Cube can be summoned immediately by pressing the Guard button. Milla has beefed up her alchemy skills for the sequel! She can now fight enemies with punches and kicks, and her reflective shield can be aimed in 8 directions. ![]() She can even throw it just like her disc! She's also been training in Bike Fu and has a number of new, hard-hitting attacks while riding her motorcycle. Combined with her wall jumping, she has the most vertical mobility of any character in the game. She can also throw the disc upwards to reach new heights. (Careful though - you'll still go down in one hit!) Finally, Lilac can gain access to a set of Wing Gliders later in the game that enhance her Dragon Boost.Ĭarol's back, and she's got some new tricks up her feline sleeves! Her Jump Disc lets her slice up enemies from a distance, and she can home in on its location for extra damage. She also benefits greatly from the new Guarding mechanic - which allows you to block/parry enemy attacks with proper timing - as well as Reviving, which lets you spend an extra life on the spot to get back up. Lilac has received the least changes from the first Freedom Planet, but she still has some new tricks up her sleeve! Her Boost Breaker lets her jump out of her boosts while leaving behind a damaging explosion. We'll be sharing gameplay videos of each heroine over the next few weeks, starting now with Lilac! No fluff! Let's get straight into our first gameplay footage of Freedom Planet 2! ![]()
